Be Sweet Publications was created to teach children geography and history of Georgia. We use children’s books featuring fictional characters who visit real life places. The characters names are “Yumion,” our state vegetable and “Jeremiah,” our state amphibian. The Yumion series was the creation of two Georgia teachers, Pam Alexander and Rhonda Frost Petty. The Jeremiah series was written and illustrated by Pam Alexander and rhymed by Ruby Smith-Lloyd.
